Russell started his professional career at Courtaulds in Coventry in the late 1980's.

Moved to Severn Trent Water then switched from the customer side of the business to the OEM side.

Joining Alcatel (Banbury) where he headed up the broadband team based at the BT research site in Martelsham. The key BT broadband network designs were developed and deployed. Returning to the Banbury office, Russell created the installation, commissioning and support team within the data carrier group, focusing on the BT account.

He founded his first company in 2000 and went on to form another 2 companies in the following years. He is currently focused on managing Telser Ltd. and consultancy for OfCom.
